The calculator should work OK with any browser.
- Have the calculations been verified?
Yes the calculator has been tested extensively over the years. Initially some users did report some errors, all of which have subsequently been resolved.
- Does the calculator cope with share restructurings?
Yes but only 1 restructuring is permitted for each stock. See here

- Does the calculator work for short selling?
Not implicitly no because as far as the calculator is concerned you have to own shares before you can sell them.
If you are creative it may be possible to simulate short selling ie. change dates.
